Pattern: Sylvar by Jordana Paige
Yarn: Araucania Nature Wool in 17, less than 4 skeins
Needles: Addi Turbos US 6
Modifications: Body – Continued lace pattern throughout. Moved waist decreases based on try-ons to fit me specifically. Did matching waist increases rather than switching to garter stitch. Ended with just 12 rows of garter stitch for a border.
Sleeves – Spaced out sleeve decreases (my row gauge is tighter than the pattern), started them lower on the arm. Continued lace pattern throughout sleeve, ended with just 12 rows of garter stitch.
Date Started: December 16, 2009
Date Finished: December 30, 2009
Time: 6 hours on the yoke, 11.75 hours on the body, 1.5 hours for the first sleeve pre-rip, 8.25 hours for the first sleeve, 4.25 hours on the first sleeve re-knit (again), 4.5 hours for the second sleeve, .25 hours of finishing for a total of 36.5 hours.

I had originally planned the modifications because I didn’t have enough yarn for the pattern, and garter stitch takes more yarn because of the compressed row gauge. I really like the way this turned out, and it made it a lot easier to modify “on the fly” because this sweater is top down.

And that was NaKniSweMoDo #12 – the knitting is OVAH!
